The NOUN Scholar is an online international open access journal with a policy of an anonymous peer-reviewing process. As a double-blind review academic journal, it focuses on Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities issues and topics to benefit both developed and developing countries globally. Manuscripts for publication include original and unpublished research papers in the form of conceptual articles, theoretical and experiential, review articles, case reports, and empirical research papers. All the submitted manuscripts should not be under consideration or reviewed for publication in any other journal anywhere.

Copyright Ownership and License

The copyright of all published articles is retained by the author. The journal retains a “fair use” agreement to edit and format to the journal specifications, and reproduce the author’s work in any media that the journal may publish in the future. The author is also free to republish the original manuscript in other journals once the work is published.

The NOUN Scholar supports and encourages Open Access and fee-free publication models, and provides access to a wide range of free resources to assist African researchers, authors and editors. The journal licenses the non-exclusive right to publish the article, which means that the author can re-authorize its publication in other formats (such as in edited monographs). In this scenario, the author will often license the right of first publication to the journal/publisher.
